Not sure if anyone tried this but, the bottom of the toilet bowl was darkened due to limescale etc and nothing removed it, including bleach. I emptied 2 scoops of vanish powder and poured kettle boiled water slowly and left it for about half an hour. Gave it a gentle rub with toilet brush and it was gone! Couldn't believe the simple solution to that embarrassing matter was sitting in the cupboard ...

To get tough sweat stain marks of your pillow cases, soak them in Vanish Bright White for 4 hours and then add a scoop with your washing powder on the cycle and it gets it bright white and looking brand new again!

Take a nice big deep tray, add a scoop of vanish, dissove. Add your wire oven shelves. Wait two hours and the grease will come off easily with a rough cloth. No more scrubbing and chipping away, no matter how bad they are!

2 brand new white cotton polo shirts accidentally made their way into a coloureds wash. 1 was inside a red sweatshirt and was stained red and the other just went grey from our hard water. i went out and spent the best part of a tenner on vanish because of their promise to make items of clothing 3 shades whiter. after soaking the shirts in vanish crystal white and warm water for the recommended 6 hours i put them in a wash on their own for the recommended 40 oc wash with a scoop in the drawer and one in the drum. no difference... they are still stained. so i did it again only this time at 6 hours i replaced the solution and put it in again overnight then again in the washer 1 scoop in the drum, 1 scoop in the drawer. they are still stained no change what so ever even with me scrubbing them whilst in the vanish. went out bought bleach for £1 i just put some in a bucket with water 10 minutes ago and already the stains are starting to go. biggest waste of money ever. id have been cheaper off buying a new 2 pack of polo shirts.

I have a few tips.... I rather doubt my post will appear but, just in case................ I am talking about Vanish Gold for all stains, not just whites. 1. Despite the TV ads this product does not form a paste - even after 12 hours soaking the powder in water. 2. A scoop in a white wash causes no problems, though neither did I see any results I didn't get with even Aldi's washing powder 3. BUT, on NO ACCOUNT add a scoop to your regular washing powder if you are washing coloured fabrics. I had a new pair of trousers with a grease mark after a meal out. Now dotted with bleach spots. Worn just once. £40 wasted! 4. The claim "the stain has almost gone after 30 seconds" hasn't worked in this household. Coffee and other stains remain. Though I think the old Vanish spray would have dealt with them! As I say, I doubt my post will find it's way through the "positive marketing campaign" and this website. But I've copied my comments and will paste them to Facebook.
